Agricert takes part in the “Extensive Livestock Farming and Territory” conference in Arronches

On 27 March at 10:45 a.m., Agricert will take part in the conference “Extensive Livestock Farming and Territory: Innovation, European Policies and Global Markets”, held במסגרת the Saberes & Sabores do Porco Alentejano Festival in Arronches.

Agricert’s contribution will feature in the panel “ESG in Agriculture: value chains and banking institutions”, with Selma Fernandes speaking in a discussion focused on the impact of ESG criteria across the value chain, their relationship with markets, and how these factors are being integrated into risk assessment and financing.

The day’s programme also includes a panel on digitalisation in livestock production, with contributions from Luís Alcino (IIPortalegre) and Carlos Serra (innogado), as well as a third panel on the policy framework and international challenges, with interventions on the CAP 2028–2034 and the impact of the EU–Mercosur agreement on the Portuguese market. This final panel will include Gonçalo Vale (Agroges) and Pompeu Pais Dias (Consulai), followed by a round table bringing together Fermelinda Carvalho (President of the Portalegre District Farmers’ Association), Maria do Céu Salgueiro (Vice-President of APORMOR), Helena Cavaco (Vice-President of CCDR Alentejo – Agriculture), Luís Miguel Bagulho (Chair of the Board of Carnalentejana), Gonçalo Vale (Agroges) and Pompeu Pais Dias (Consulai).

The conference brings together specialists, sector organisations and institutional representatives to discuss the main strategic challenges facing livestock farming.

Agricert will also be present at the event throughout the weekend at the festival venue.
