The IFS Food Standard is a GFSI-recognised standard for auditing food manufacturers.

It focuses on food safety and the quality of processes and products. It applies to food processing companies and to companies involved in primary packing of bulk food products. IFS Food is relevant whenever products are processed or where there is a risk of contamination during primary packing.

It is particularly important for food manufacturers producing private label products, as it includes a wide range of requirements linked to compliance with customer specifications.
